Exciting times ahead in Scotland, with the prospect of a the biggest solar eclipse in 61 years this week. Dunmore Scotland HQ is well within the range to see between a 90-95% eclipse so we’re crossing our fingers for a decent sunny day so that we get the full effect of the phenomenon. Of course, it is March in Scotland so the weather is less then predictable, but we can hope!
The last time the UK had an eclipse event of this magnitude was in 1999 and back then, working in an office in central Edinburgh, we watched pictures of the full eclipse on the tv, while watching the world outside the window turn to twilight
at lunchtime. It was a very peculiar experience but hopefully one that will be repeated next week. More detailed information on the eclipse and how it will be viewed across Scotland can be found at www.weather.stv.tv/seansblog
